Wool Against Weapons

It’s not too late to start, I’m only half way through crocheting my 100cm x 60com rectangle ( above) of pink wool to send to to WAW. My effort and anything you send will be included in the 7miles of work that will stretch from the Womens Peace Camp at Aldermaston to Burghfield Nuclear Weapons Establishment in Berkshire, England. We are protesting the planned replacement of Trident nuclear submarines during this recession or ever.
Check out more details at www.woolagainstweapons.co.uk or on their page on Facebook.
Women (and some men) from all over the world are sending knitting to the organisers of this protest. It’s a good buzz.

Somebody lives here

What a joy to watch the blackbirds flying in and out of the clematis this year. It’s getting very big so I was going to cut it back last June after it had flowered but I got distracted by other stuff and now it’s a bijou blackbird apartment 🙂
